Room 18 have been learning to say their Mihi.
We learned that a Mihi is a short greeting to introduce our self to other people in te reo Maori.
Room 18's Mihi includes where we come from, our nationality (iwi), our landmarks; mountain (maunga) and river (awa), our school and own name.
To know who we are, we have to know where we come from.
Here is Alysha's Mihi.
She has practised her Mihi over the last three weeks and she can say it without looking at her notes. Well done Alysha!
Here is Devon's Mihi.
